Five years later, Karan Johar will all return to the chair of the director after entertaining the public with the commercial hit Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The filmmaker announced on Monday his next close-to-heart and exciting project is looking forward to returning to what he likes to do most — telling love stories. He announced today that his next film will be starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. People also excited about Karan Johar’s Film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Karan Johar’s Film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani:
Besides the young actors, veteran actors Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra are reportedly stars of the project. The love story, called Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, is all about family and love. Karan revealed on Monday that he was going to drop a statement. He said, “This is the beginning of a new journey and my way back home – all at once. It’s time to go back to my favourite place, it’s time to create some eternal love stories from behind the lens. A very special story, truly immersed in the roots of love and family.”
Ranveer will play Rocky and Alia will play the role of Rani, according to a report from Bollywood Hungama. The stars won the hearts of Gully Boy’s audiences and look like KJo’s on-screen chemistry continues. After the first film Mardon Wali Baat in 1988, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra will be reunited on the big screen. It will also make a large screen comeback for Jaya Bachchan.
The source of Bollywood Hungama remarks, “Karan’s film is about family values and love, in that order. It’s called Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and features Ranveer and Alia as Rocky and Rani. Shabanaji and Dharamji will play Alia’s grandparents. Jayaji who has worked with Karan before in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho plays Ranveer Singh’s grandmother.”
